SnG Foundation is proud to announce that we held our first public fundraiser on the evening of August 17th, 2018 in Calgary, Alberta. The turnout was promising and has fuelled ideas for future gatherings to champion this cause that Gideon and Sarfo believe strongly in.

Attendees were treated to an array of finger food cuisines, a selection of wines, music from a DJ, billiards and a live silent auction where authentic works from Ghanaian artists were eligible to be bid upon, among other items.

The event venue was a social gathering room at the Waterfront Calgary by Anthem Properties condominiums. We would like to thank them for their gracious hospitality, as well as everyone who donated their time and money to this cause. In total, SnG Foundation raised $1,300 to promote their future charitable initiatives and interests overseas in Ghana.

Though more importantly than the money, perhaps, is SnG raising the awareness and uniting people with a common passion for doing good. The proceeds donated will assist with providing school children in Ghana with more technological tools to advance their education in the 21st century and to put shoes on kids’ feet who want nothing more than to spend their hours outside in the sun playing when not pursuing a higher education.

Please stay tuned for more news from the foundation, as we will surely be putting on another event in the near future. Ideally, partnering with another local business or organization to bring SnG Foundation’s aspirations to a broader audience both right here in the community, and more broadly as well, is something we look forward to.
